FAQs

What does a ticket include?

A ticket for our Chef's menu includes three savory courses and one sweet course. We will always have sample menus posted on www.cadencesf.com to give you an understanding of the type of dishes you can expect, but our menu changes frequently. You have the option to purchase beverage pairings at the time you purchase your ticket or once you're at the restaurant, in addition to ordering beverages a la carte. Ticket prices are not inclusive of gratuity or tax, but a 20% service charge and 8.75% sales tax will be added automatically when you check out.

Why tickets instead of reservations?

In short, tickets allow us to provide our guests with a better experience. This system makes our restaurant more efficient by helping us purchase ingredients based on how many guests have committed to dining with us, by taking valuable team members away from the phones, and by giving us a better understanding of what kind of experience our guests are looking for when they dine with us. All of this allows us to provide our guests with the best possible experience at the lowest possible price.

Do you accommodate walk-ins?

We offer two distinct experiences in our dining room. We recommend that guests make book tickets in advance for our four course Chef's menu. However, guests without reservations are welcome to join us at our communal tables or bar to enjoy our a la carte menu; these areas are seated on a first come, first served basis.

How many days in advance can I purchase a ticket?

Tickets are released approximately 30 days in advance.

When can I see what's on the Chef's menu?

You can view sample menus at www.cadencesf.com. Our menu changes frequently, so the dishes you see online may not be exactly what you see on the night of your booking.

Why is there a service charge automatically included? Who receives it?

We believe that you can't have a great restaurant without a great team. By including a service charge on guest checks, we are able to ensure that every hourly employee in both the dining room and the kitchen is paid a living wage. The entirety of the service charges is distributed to every hourly employee of the restaurant.

If I my dining companions want to purchase their tickets separately, can we sit together?

No. If you would like to reserve a table for 4 people, all four tickets need to be booked together.

Can I cancel my ticket after purchasing and get a refund for it? Can I transfer it to a different night?

Just like a sporting event, concert, or theater ticket, all sales are final. However, we are always happy to work with you to reschedule your booking or issue a gift certificate for its value, if you'd prefer.

Can I give my ticket away or sell it?

Yes. The ticket is completely transferable to another person. However, selling tickets for greater than face value may be illegal in your area. Anyone who purchases a ticket from another patron should take care to be sure that the ticket and times are as claimed by requesting both an email confirmation from us as well as a printed ticket from the seller.

Are there other beverage options outside of the pairing?

Yes. We offer a full selection of wines by the glass, wine by the bottle, cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks.

What should I do if I'm running late?

Please call us at 415.851.8561 or send an email to dinner@cadencesf.com to let us know that you're running late.

Can I bring my own wine? How much is corkage?

Our knowledgeable team has put together a wine list that is delicious, diverse, and complements our food very well. With that said, we understand that you may have a special bottle you'd like to bring in and share with your guests. For bottles of wine with a vintage of 2009 or earlier, corkage is $10 each for the first and second bottle and $20 for the third. The corkage for bottles with a vintage of 2010 or later is $30 each for the first and second bottle and $60 for the third.

What are the beverage pairings?

Our sommelier and bar manager use wine, cocktails and beer to create a complementary pairing for each of the four courses. We are always happy to accommodate allergies or specific preferences.

Are there other beverage options outside of the pairing?

Yes. We offer a full selection of wines by the glass, wine by the bottle, cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes. We can accommodate almost any dietary restriction, though advance notice is greatly appreciated so that we have the appropriate time to create a menu based on your needs. Please call 415.851.8561 or email dinner@cadencesf.com for assistance with dietary restrictions.

How do I book a table for 7 or more guests?

The largest table in our dining room seats 6 guests. If you are interested in booking a larger party, please call 415.851.8561 or email dinner@cadencesf.com so that we can discuss large party booking options with you.

Where can I park?
